I have a project that uses GitLab CI. I'm preparing the same to be able to deploy to the PRODUCTION
environment when the repository is tagged with a particular pattern. I know I can trigger a pipeline based on the creation/push of a tag (rules: - if: $CI_COMMIT_TAG =~ /SOME_PATTERN/
), but I would like to avoid to trigger the build process again since the release is kept as an artifacts
ZIP for a long time.
So is it possible to reference and fetch the artifacts
for a particular Git ref? For instance, if I tag commit a1b2c3d4
, I know that's the release I would like to deploy to the PRODUCTION
environment, so I would rather pick up that build instead of triggering the build process that generates a new one.
