I have a node in AKS that runs absolutely nothing, is cordoned and drained.

However, when I do kubectl top nodes it shows as using 25% RAM.

This is already on top of RAM that the VM has but is not available inside the cluster.

Any idea why is this?

  • kubectl describe node <hostname> to see you what is running on – c4f4t0r Jan 30 at 21:47
  • Only kube-proxy and that uses up 16mb. Yet, top nodes shows like 700mb usage – Asu Feb 3 at 13:15
