I have two separate applications (app1, app2) running, configured on different rollout. There are multiple pods running under both rollout. App1 sends traffic to App2 on it's local endpoint (http://app2.svc.cluster.local). There's HPA in place for both the rollouts which takes care of number of pods running behind.

I want to stress test one of the pods by sending more traffic real time without affecting traffic on other pods of the same rollout.

Previously, I was using HAproxy to route traffic from App1 to App2, where pods were discovered via Consul. In HAproxy, you can send weighted traffic to individual pods. I had a separate k8s svc which had custom tag for increasing weight (traffic) for the pods under that svc.

Is there any way I can change traffic on few pods while hitting the local k8s endpoint?
