I'm willing to switch to blue ocean however I can't get the pipeline logs to show in inheritance "classic" jobs (https://plugins.jenkins.io/project-inheritance/) :

I see that freestyle jobs are indeed supported (https://www.jenkins.io/doc/book/blueocean/#blue-ocean-overview). I'm mainly wondering why the result is different from another kind of job.

They are however clearly generated and viewable as usual in the old console UI. enter image description here

Is there a configuration I'm missing or plugin available out there that can help tail the log view ? Things are working well with freestyle jenkins jobs.

Thanks

  • Hi there - is it possible to share what the steps in that pipeline are doing? Not all steps produce output. Oct 24 at 8:07
  • Thanks for your answer, however I'm using the inheritance plugin, it's kind of a freestyle job but with advanced inheritance options. So there is no "Pipepline steps" as I comprehend it. I don't have the bandwith to create a Jenkinsfile right now for our setup but would like to access blue UI nonetheless. I added a link in OP

  • Are you aware further development of Blue Ocean has been abandoned, in favour of improving the core Ui, for example with pipeline-view plugin
