For security reasons, we want to have a time limit for users logged into our AWS RDS DB instances, that is, users are automatically logged out after so many minutes. I followed IAM database authentication for MySQL and PostgreSQL and it worked as expected on a test MySQL instance. However, the token presented in the blog only lasted for 15 mins, and AWS support confirmed that it cannot be tuned. 15 mins is a too short for a meaningful activity, say during debugging.

Any pointers on how to achieve this? Thanks.
