I want to build highly available Zabbix service for my infrastructure.

I am considering it on VMs or in containers.

I already know the case of running Zabbix in VM, yet I am not aware of pros, and especially, cons of putting it on docker.

There are probably some things to consider before I decide which way to go, so I would be glad if you could share your experience with Zabbix setup on Docker - for now it doesn't matter if this is in HA or not, as most of things to consider will be in common for all nodes I presume. I might be not aware of some Docker specific stuff that is important.

Also, if this does matter, I would like to use the PostgreSQL - and I would love to have the PostgreSQL in master-master setup - tips on that matter are greatly appreciated.
