I am looking for alternatives for SonarQube that can be hosted as an Azure VM to monitor code quality, smells, and enforce style, and integrates with Azure Devops.

Specifically, it should automatically scan new commits made to the DevOps repository and list issues found with style, security, duplicity, etc.

SonarQube and Codacy both offer this, but SonarQube has not been working for us and Codacy does not work with DevOps.

Any suggestions?

  • What about SonarQube isn't working for you? – casey vega Jul 17 at 3:36
  • @caseyvega we just haven't been able to get Enterprise Edition running on Azure – CastleCorp Jul 17 at 12:08
  • What about running it as a docker container in a VM on Azure? – 030 Jul 17 at 18:51
  • @030 unfortunately we do not use docker. – CastleCorp Jul 17 at 19:52
  • @CastleCorp Could you explain why? hub.docker.com/_/sonarqube – 030 Jul 17 at 20:18
  • Please add a short summary of pros and cons for using each tool – 030 Jul 17 at 20:19
